Available Betting Structures
Limit
In structured limit games, all bets/raises are a set amount. The only valid bet/raise is the current limit, for example $10 (big blind) on the first two rounds and $20 (double the big blind) in the last two rounds in a $5-$10 Hold'em game.
No-Limit
In no-limit the minimum bet/raise is the same size as the big blind but players can always bet as much as they want, up to all their chips. There is no maximum number of raises.
Pot-Limit
In pot-limit the minimum bet must be the size of the big blind but can be up to the pot; the minimum raise having to match the previous bet or raise made. A pot size bet/raise is calculated by adding up the pot plus all bets on the table plus the amount the player wishing to raise would first have to call before raising.
